Ust-Kamenogorsk CHP LLP is the combined heat and power plant located in the east of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Ust-Kamenogorsk city. It is the largest thermal power plant in the region.

Production of heat and electric energy is the main activity of the company and it is carried out in a combined way. Today the plant has installed 9 boiler units and 8 turbine units.

The main type of fuel at the company is coal. The starting fuel for boilers is fuel oil. Fuel is delivered to the plant by the railroad from the suppliers Karazhyra JSC and Maikuben West LLP. The electric and heat energy generated by the plant covers 80% of the load of the city’s housing and utilities sector. It provides heat power to the largest industrial enterprises such as Kazzinc LLP and UMZ JSC.

In 2017 Ust-Kamenogorsk CHP LLP celebrated its 70th anniversary as from the date of its commission. Currently 559 people work at the station.

Today the installed thermal capacity of the plant is 859,9 Gcal/hour and the installed electrical capacity is 372.5 MW.
